There are so many things in this world that we don't have control over. Watching the news and listening to the messages of fear and hopelessness in the world can leave us with a bleak outlook. This is one of the many reasons that we must fill our minds with enough love, faith and hope to outweigh the negative messages fighting for our attention. We CAN control what we choose to focus on and where we put our energy.

This week, give some thought to your environment and how you fill up your time, space and consciousness. Don't wait. Don't delay your happiness. Create an environment for yourself that fosters creativity, supportive relationships, and most importantly - Love.

You must structure your world so you are constantly reminded of who you are. Your subconscious mind is a twenty-four-hour photographer, recording every item you see. It is important to your mental, emotional and spiritual health that the things you see create images in your mind of who you are and what you want to be. Your environment should reconfirm your identity and the things you want. Is your home peaceful? Orderly? Safe? Are there pictures and artifacts that reflect the images you inspire to live up to? Does your work environment promote your creativity? Does it foster healthy communication? Does it look like a place you want to be? Like to be? Need to be? Is your social environment relaxing? Are you with the type of people you want around you? Do your family and friends support you and make you feel welcomed? Important? Free? Or are you restricted? Oppressed? Unproductive? You can only live up to the images in your mind. Make sure that what you see does not keep you in a place you do not want to be.

Look around. Does your world promote your growth and true identity? What are you tuning into? Does the media set the tone for your day, causing you to be anxious and paranoid?
Are you where you want to be? If not, change things up! One step at a time.
